Otsuka Museum of Art

The Otsuka Museum of Art is a ``ceramic board masterpiece museum'' where you can experience art from around the world while staying in Japan.

More than 1,000 masterpieces representing Western art history, from ancient times to the present day, are faithfully reproduced on full-size ceramic plates and exhibited.

Along the approximately 4km viewing route, famous paintings that you may have seen in art books are on display, including Leonardo da Vinci's ``The Last Supper,'' Van Gogh's ``Sunflowers,'' and Picasso's ``Guernica.'' You can enjoy museums from all over the world.

Awajurobee mansion

At the Awa Jyurobei House, performances of the nationally designated Important Intangible Cultural Property "Awa Ningyo Joruri," including "Keisei Awa no Naruto," are held daily.

The gidayu-shamisen supports the story with a variety of tones that cannot be expressed in musical notation. And a puppet that is controlled by a trio of people unlike any other in the world. Please enjoy to your heart's content the performing arts that are alive with the sensibilities of the Japanese people at the base of Awa Ningyo Joruri.
